Surgery for torn knee cartilage

Hi everyone! My name is Lynn and I have a history of rheumatoid arthritis in both my hands that I have negelected to stay on top of treatments (due to price of medication being to high and the side effects of treatments being to risky) so my joints have been slowly deteriorating. Last week on Thursday I had went shopping with a friend of mine and when I had bent down to look at something and got up I felt a pop in my left knee. I couldn't walk on it or put any weight at all. I had thought I had just dislocated my knee. So I ended up being escorted out of the mall by security. Long story short I ended up in urgent care and had my x-ray done that same day, which came back with my bones being fine, and then Friday I had to get an MRI done. I had just went and saw my doctor thus Tuesday for a follow-up and good news not my tendon or ligament but the bad news was I torn the cartilage of my left knee. I am seeing an Orthopedic doctor Monday to see what he says. No matter what though I will need to have surgery . I am currently going to work still even with crutches and a knee brace and taking ibuprofen for pain and swelling but once I have knee surgery I may need to be off work for a while. The money that I am trying to raise will go to my knee surgery and to help me pay any other medical bills (physical therapy if needed after)or to help me survive while I am out of work. I dont know how much my medical bills will be so I only tried giving a rough estimate, it could be more or less, I really don't know. This is also my first time using GoFundMe so I don't know if anyone is willing to help me but if anyone does, I really appreciate your kindness and help. I have been quite depressed and stressed out so I hope someone out there is willing to be my guardian angel and help me thru this. I just don't know who else to ask or where else to go right now.
