Surgery for Remington

My husband and I recently added a new addition to our home when we picked Remington up 11 weeks ago. He has been such a joy; however, when we took him to the vet a heart murmur was detected. It was suggested that we proceed with testing in order to find out what was causing the murmur. Yesterday we were told that Remington has something called Patent Ductus Arteriosos (PDA). We were told that this can be fixed with surgery but left untreated will cause Remington's heart to go into congestive heart failure. We have scheduled an appointment to meet with a cardiologist and are hoping to schedule surgery as soon as possible.
