My name is Sydney and my 5-year-old cat, Princess, is seeking treatment for a double ear infection. The infection caused excessive scratching, which resulted in a hematoma on her ear. The doctors were able to drain 2 syringes of blood and start her on steroids. Unfortunately, the hematoma returned the following day. She will return to the doctors for a second drainage this Friday. I do not have pet insurance, and the doctors believe surgery is necessary to resolve the hematoma permanently.
