Heart Surgery for Our Sweet CB

Donation protected

We know many of you can relate to us and how much we love our pet...

Our story:

It goes back to 2009, I recently had gone to the Doctor to find out why I was so down, exhausted all the time, and not myself.  I was going through a tough time and a lot of life changes including the death of my Mother.

My Doctor literally wrote three prescriptions, one for depression, one for diabetes and the other - a dog!  It was in that year a beautiful little Havanese spitfire came into my life and that of my life partner – we named her CB (short for Care Bear).

She quickly was the bridge from what medications could not quite accomplish.  It was also in that year that she was registered in California as a “California Assistance Dog.”

Ever since that day, she has always been by my side.  She comes to work with me every day and is affectionately known as the office manager – she runs the office greeting clients every day.  She lets everyone know she runs the show.

We deeply love our sweet CB. She brings so much joy and love to our lives and is an integral member of our family!

Unfortunately, she's suffered with her heart condition for a while, but recently the doctors told us that she needs a life saving surgery within the next year to fix her degenerative mitral valve disease.

The surgery is long and expensive and is only performed in 2 places in the whole world: Japan & Florida. The doctor, Japanese cardiologist Masami Uechi, DVM, has had success with this procedure and has started training other vets at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. They'll start doing the procedure there in June and we've been able to get on the wait list, but we need help raising the funds...every single dollar will go towards her surgery which has been estimated to cost between $40,000-$55,000.

Please consider donating to our sweet girl so that she can continue to brighten our days! Every single dollar helps!

CB saved me in a big way and now it’s my turn to save her!  Please help me do that.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
