Surgery for North

Donation protected
17 years ago, I came out as trans.  Nearly six years ago, I finally started taking testosterone and started seeing some realization in the mirror of who I was supposed to be.  When I had a consult for top surgery, though, the doctor told me I would need to lose a lot of weight to make the surgery effective.

Fast forward five years -- I have lost 130 pounds and become a much healthier person, but I am still haunted by the less healthy me.  I am covered in skin too stretched by my 310-lb. self to fit my new frame, and in order to finally get a successful chest reconstruction, I need to also get a series of surgeries to remove the excess skin all over my body.

The first one, the doctor recommends, should be done at the same time as the chest reconstruction.  The abdominal surgery comes first!  It is likely I will be able to get the chest surgery covered by insurance as part of my transition (yaaaaaay progress!), but the abdominoplasty is an expensive proposition.

After this, I will never have to wear a binder again.  If you like my singing now, imagine when I can breathe!

I thought I would be stuck with these sacks of flesh on my chest forever.  You can help.

Anything you have to give is appreciated.  Little by little, we will grow this fund together. <3
