Surgery for my best friend puppy Zeus

This passed Thursday on 9/17/2020 my husband went to let our puppy Zeus outside after coming home and noticed something wrong with his eye. My husband was very worried about the red area protruding from Zeus’s left eye. Once I arrived home, Zeus came to greet me. My pulse went racing when I saw my best buddies face. His other eye now had a red area protruding.

 These areas are known as cherry eyes. I took him to the vet that next morning. She gave him antibiotic steroid ointment to use every 4 hours. On Sunday Zeus started bleeding from the cherry eyes. I took him to veterinary hospital the next day. After the Dr examined Zeus, it was determined surgery was necessary. 

The cherry eye is a 3 rd eye lid. The Dr will make a pocket for the protruding eye lid to be putin and will tack that back into the eye socket.  His recovery will be about 2 weeks.

Zeus means the world to me. We have such an amazing bond. Training him brings such joy. Heis so willing to please me. He knows sit, stay, leave it, and come. He is my shadow most of the time.
