Surgery for Brad

Earlier this summer, my dad Brad went into the dentist for a regular checkup. The dentist found some lumps in his gums, and was told he needed to go see an oral surgeon to determine what they were. On July 24, 2017 my dad went to the oral surgeon, and was told he had Ameloblastoma, which is a rare tumor in his mouth that are typically benign, and if they are not removed they will keep growing. It was determined he would need surgery. The surgeon will be cutting his jaw, and removing a large portion to make sure they get all of the affected area. All of the teeth in the area will also have to be removed as well. The surgeon will then go into his leg, and cut the middle portion of his fibula to use for the reconstruction of his jaw, and a skin graft may be needed. The surgery will be happening on August 23, and will take around 12-15 hours. He will spend 4-7 days in the hospital in recovery following the procedure, and will be at home recovering for approximately 2-6 weeks.  Once he has healed, he will need teeth implants. 

In addition to all of this, my mom Kelly has been unable to work at all this summer due to a bulging disc on her Ciatic nerve. 

All money raised will be used to help pay medical bills and living expenses. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
