Surgery for a young ESA dog

Donation protected

Our beloved dog Boomer was unfortunately hit by a car that was going approximately 65-70 MPH. He went over a week on meds and was doing just fine with only a bruised liver and a leg full of staples but unfortunately he fell ill and found himself back at an emergency vet. Exploratory surgery was needed to find the cause of why he was septic and what was damaged inside of him. The veterinarians found that he had a hole in his stomach that formed from initial medication... His stomach was leaking bile into his body and although the vets tried to clean it the best they could, the risk of infection is still there. He is just over a year old and is my Emotional Support dog, we do everything together. He is still not out of the woods and the road to recovery will be a long and costly one. He is in good hands at Blue Pearl of Tampa and was able to stand this morning with a feeding tube through his nose and needles and bags hanging all off of the poor guy. He has already had such a rough first year of life so we are hoping he can get through this to have a great rest of 2018 and a healthy, long life. Anyone who knows Boomer and me knows how much he means to me and how important he is to my family. Our goal does not cover all of the costs but it would help a lot if I could raise some money to help out my dad especially since the bill goes up each day he stays at the emergency vet. If you can’t donate then passing the message along would be just as helpful. Thank you from Boomer’s family.
