Surgery after a serious injury

Hi, my name is Levinue (Levi) for short, I am 4 month old cocker spaniel mix shar pei, aka mini hippo. I have the best temperament, I am very friendly and sociable to everyone. I am calm and rarely bark, my mommy says I am the best puppy she's ever seen. I go to work with her at times and would say hi to clients then back to bed until they leave. I am never a bother to anyone.

Unfortunately at daycare, I sustained an injury which my mommy is still unclear about but caused me to break my back leg. Once my mommy picked me up, we were rushed to the emergency department and was then sent to the ICU in Guelph. In human terms, I broke the back of my left leg, by my knee and have to undergo 2 surgeries, each 3 weeks apart. Rehabilitation will be tough as I have to be sedated for the first 3 weeks to not put pressure on my back leg and then again after my second surgery. I am still a puppy and just learning how to walk properly, but am doing a great job of that.

This sudden vet bill is costing us a substantial amount as my mommy will have to take off 8 weeks of work to make sure I do not add any pressure on my back leg, thus requiring 24/7 1:1 care.

I am hoping for a speedy recovery but it will be a long journey for me. Hoping to get financial support with my vet bills only as it's already estimated to be $8000.
