The hospitality industry is comprised of many small to large families of professionals who look out for one another on an everyday basis. Right now, families that do the same for one another are suffering from the devastation of Hurricane Maria on their home island of Puerto Rico.
Our industry is also an interwoven network of these families that come together to support others in need on a regular basis, which is why #suppuertorico was created. We are here to make a small impact on the everyday lives of the residents of Puerto Rico as they start to pick up the pieces left behind by such a catastrophic storm.
My name is Jeff Wilson, and my wife, Marta, and I are hospitality industry professionals in Chicago, IL. We have very close relationships with some of the industry professionals on the island, and also consider Puerto Rico a second home with the warmth and hospitality we have received while visiting the island. Those things, paired with Marta's Puerto Rican heritage, have compelled us to help the island that we love in any way possible.
We will be taking financial donations as well as setting up specials, promotions, discounts, and events at our establishments.
