As we all know life throws us extreme challenges at times. We are constantly reminded to cherish each moment in life and to practice the art of giving and receiving. My amazing and selfless friend's life was quickly altered when we were given the news that no one is ever really prepared to receive. She was diagnosed with Non small cell lung cancer on December 20, 2017.
It started with shoulder blade pain, so she decided to have an x-ray to see if it was a pinched nerve. She discovered it was a large mass in her chest cavity. She has recieved all the recommended tests, scans, biopsies, scopes etc. including three professional opinions, as well as non-traditional doctors, stating Chemo and radiation are by far the best chance she has to beating this due to size and location.
She is starting her long treatments in the beginning of February. As she is well known for her strength, she is trying to manage her pain level as best as possible with a positive attitude and medication. She is often in a lot of pain and very tired, but still continues to amaze us with her strength each day. As we all know, the mind is a powerful tool and having a positive outlook is a tremendous component to the healing process.
As she walks through this journey, we want to encourage as many people to join her fight by supporting her in any way possible. We are reaching out to any and all who can offer a helping hand and words of encouragement in this difficult time. We are determined to conquer this together and we will be forever grateful for those who can and will join us in this ultimate battle to conquer Tiffany's cancer.
