Support Locked Out Sunrise Workers

On Tuesday, May 23,  after nine months of bad-faith bargaining, American Addiction Centers illegally locked out 120 addiction treatment workers at Sunrise House, an inpatient detox and rehab facility in Lafayette, New Jersey. AAC is one of the nation’s largest for-profit addiction treatment chains.

All patients were removed from the facility and transferred to treatment centers around the country. AAC management changed the locks on the doors and locked the facility.

The workers, members of Health Professionals and Allied Employees (HPAE) AFT/AFL-CIO Local 5629, are fighting against unfair unilateral changes and for safe staffing, living wages, and improved safety conditions for both the staff and patients.

In order to help the locked-out Sunrise House workers, we're asking for donations to help with mortgages, rents, medical expenses, food and other necessities. Every dollar you donate will help so they can fight for what is right and for their jobs.
