Welcome to my Go-Fund-Me page:
My name is Lily Kiara. Since i graduated at the Amsterdam School for the Arts in 1994 i have been working as a dancer-choreographer. I also perform as a singer-songwriter and released 4 albums so far. I teach dance workshops and guide students and other artists in their individual process of training and creating work.
Giving individual guidance has become increasingly important in my work in the past year. Right at this time I heard about a study that will enable me to support people individually in another way.
Through a fellow artist and somatic worker, i got in touch with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London, where i now wish to study to become a biodynamic craniosacral practitioner. This connects closely to who i am and how i have been working as an artist and teacher. Subjects that have had my attention for 25 years, such as dynamic stillness, transparency, refinement, embodied listening and perception connect directly to the work with biodynamic craniosacral therapy. I look forward to learning to integrate these in the specific and precise work of biodynamic craniosacral therapy.
It’s as if many things i have been doing are falling into place. Suddenly there is a sense of perspective, a long term vision for my life, from what i have built up so far. I never had this feeling before. It brings me trust and peace and simultaneously a sense of newness and expansion. Through this study, i expect a new development in knowledge, experience and field of work. It can generate new work and simultaneously deepen my own development as well as give it a new direction.
It will also support me in finding more stability and continuity in my financial situation. Although i always find my way in the artistic field, it doesn’t equally bring in monetary income. I have done many jobs at the side to help this. At the moment by dancing for toddlers in kindergartens and by caring for older people.
The older i get myself, the more i feel the importance of knowing i can offer something valuable to others, in a way that suits me and my development., in my artistic work and otherwise. Side jobs are always temporary and also offer no stability and continuation. They take a lot of energy and time. It’s time for this to change.
The study i choose for takes place in London, UK. I am drawn to its approach and vision and the sense of solidity in the education. I did an introductory course in June 2018 which affirmed my wish to study here. It’s a parttime study, which means i will be traveling back and forth between Amsterdam and London.
I have started a preliminary study ‘Living Anatomy’ in January 2019 as i have no background in medical knowledge. Following this immediately is the main study for Biodynamic Craniosacral Practisioner. This training will be completed in September 2019.
Besides this crowdfunding I am receiving 2 different kinds of loans. To come to the complete amount needed i am requesting your support. Through Go-Fund-Me I am asking for a total of 4000 euro to help me do this study.

For donors who give 250 euro or more, if you are interested in receiving sessions during my studies, it will be part of the practise sessions i do, you can please let me know and we can find a way to set it up. This is for those in the Netherlands / Amsterdam or in places where i travel. There may be a limit to how many people i can do practise sessions with, so if this is full, we can find another way. This could be for example after my studies.
For donors who give 750 euro or more, i can offer sessions and/or a private livingroom music concert. If you are living in another country, we can arrange it through Skype or another way online. For my music see my website
