Friends and Family!  Thank you so much for stopping by this Go Fund Me Page.  As mentioned in the Video I am starting Medical School this fall and need help with the deposit.

Time abroad has made me a believer in Naturopathic Medicine.  After graduating from The City College of New York in 2013, I held a degree that, although useful, did not fully encompass who I want to be. That summer, I left the United States and moved to a city in Thailand where I hoped to acquire a lifestyle different than what I had known while living in New York. Stimulated by the surrounding mountains and temples, I was able to settle into my new home with ease. It wasn't long however before things began to shift and severe skin irritations, digestive issues and a substantial workload took their toll on my body.  The new environment had challenged me to alter how I was engaging with the world around me. Upon accepting this challenge, I discovered my new home was a natural oasis for healing. For every incident of discomfort, an array of options was provided by the health care system and natural environment. I witnessed chronic injuries heal up with tri-weekly acupuncture. Work induced stress was released with daily meditation. Chinese herbal tonics supplied a new source of vital energy. Whole foods and natural supplements removed digestive issues. Extended time outdoors moved my mental and physical body into an existence where I felt strong, at peace and renewed.

When I returned to the United States in 2015, I came home to a place simultaneously familiar and strange. I had gained a global perspective and was hypersensitive to the political climate and health care system. I felt compelled to discuss this sentiment with close friends and shortly thereafter was put in touch with a young woman by the name of Dr. Imani Owens Bailey. She introduced me to Naturopathy, and after a few conversations with her, I knew, I had found the ideal career. Inspired by Imani and recent travels, I re-enrolled at The City College of New York to explore this sentiment  in an academic setting where I learned more about the human body and the flaws of our current healthcare system.  I recognized with upmost clarity the need for a new kind of physician with a classical meets new school approach. A practical, relatable, affordable family physician.

I am now ready to tackle the next phase of this mission and return to school that I may one day practice as a licensed doctor + pediatrician - providing healing to people in need always - ALL ways.  Bringing trust and community back into the doctors office- Using low risk, affordable + creative options to educate and heal! This is my legacy and gift of love.

Help me get to school ya'll! I have been accepted to begin at CCNM (Toronto) starting this fall (2019). The deposit is due the 23rd of March. (I was just accepted at the end of Feb. - but for some reason there is a standard 2 week grace period to pay the deposit).  All donations are welcomed and appreciated! As previously mentioned the 2,000 will save my place for this upcoming Fall semester AND pay for my deposit but the first year of this program is substanstanially higher.

Also, if you have any financial aid scholarship/grant info , please send my way as applying for assistance is my new part time job.

Thank you for reading! Sending so much love!
