SISAY: Let's get young farmers together!

[Texto en español abajo] Our current food system is facing serious challenges. Climate change, biodiversity loss, access to land and lack of young farmers are endangering the future of our food.
In this critical moment, SISAY (an event organised jointly by Slow Food Peru and Slow Food Youth Network) aims to bring together young small-scale farmers from Peru and other Latin American countries in order to exchange experiences, learn together and build a network of future food leaders within the sustainable food system.
Do you want to know something more about the event?
The second edition of SISAY will take place in Lima from the 28th to the 31st October 2019 and will host around 60 young farmers from Peru and other countries in Latin America, including a fair balance of women, men and indigenous peoples.
The main areas of discussion will be:
1. Youth identities and multicultural networks.
2. Biodiversity and adaptation to climate change.
3. Entrepreneurship, financial and social inclusion.
4. Gastronomy, value chains and market success.
Where will your money go?
The cost of the 4-day event per participant is S/ 950 = 250 € = US$ 290 . That's about 25 "coffees and cake" that you would treat yourself, probably using many organic ingredients grown in Latin America: coffee, bananas, chocolate and cane sugar. If you can donate even just a small amount, you will be playing a big part in making SISAY happen.
The amount of money will be collected by SFYN Global and it will be used to pay for the costs of the event, in order for the youth to get together and find solutions for their challenging food system.
Without your contribution, their participation would not be possible.
Will you get something in return?
At the end of the crowdfunding campaign three donors will be randomly picked and they will receive:
The Ark Of Taste in Peru Book (in Spanish) & the contact of one of the farmers joining the event!

La segunda edición de SISAY tendrá lugar en Lima del 28 al 31 de octubre de 2019 y acogerá a unos 60 jóvenes agricultores de Perú y de otros países de América Latina, incluyendo un equilibrio justo de mujeres, hombres y pueblos indígenas.
Las principales áreas de discusión serán:

¿Adónde irá su dinero?
El costo del evento de 4 días por participante es de S/ 950 = 250 € = US$ 290. Eso tiene el mismo precio que unas 25 meriendas que compararía por antojo, probablemente usando muchos ingredientes orgánicos cultivados en América Latina: café, plátano, chocolate y azúcar de caña. Si usted puede donar aunque sea una pequeña cantidad, estará jugando un papel importante en la realización de SISAY.
La cantidad de dinero será recolectada por SFYN Global y se utilizará para pagar los costos del evento, con el fin de que los jóvenes se reúnan y encuentren soluciones para su desafiante sistema alimentario.
Sin su contribución, su participación no sería posible.

Al final de la campaña de crowdfunding tres donantes serán elegidos al azar y recibirán:
