<div>I have created this page on behalf of one of my close friends to help raise money for his son Blake, who sadly has been diagnosed with a horrible disease called Duchenne disease.

<div>"On the 23rd of August 2022 our world was turned upside down with the news our son Blake had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
</div>

<div>After never hearing about this disease before after some research we soon realised how devastating this disease was and is a terminal illness which affects 1 in 5000 boys in the United Kingdom and is a muscle wasting disease which effects the body including the heart , lungs and brain.
</div>

<div>This disease means our boy Blake will most likely be wheelchair bound by the ages of 8-12 and a life expectancy of late teens/early 20s.
</div>

<div>Although there is no cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy there are a lot of treatments out there that can prolong the effects of the disease , which may mean having to go overseas for specialised treatments we are currently fundraising to help find the cure for Duchenne and to also give our little boy the best healthcare , equipment and life he can have.

<div>Our son is the happiest and smiley little 3 year old who is obsessed with dinosaurs and dragons , even though he is going through this he never stops smiling or lets it stop him in having fun everyday. Our little man is our best friend and means the world to us and we will do everything possible to make sure he has the best treatment and life possible and will never give up , we greatly appreciate every donation giving into beating this horrible disease and helping our wee boy."

<div>To help raise money towards future health care costs, overseas treatments and money to the charity Duchanne UK. Our close surrounding friends will be undertaking a handfull of challenges throughout the year.
</div>
<div>With some unbelievable feats from Max Hamilton where he plans to run the Southern Upland Way covering 214 miles and also running continuously on a treadmill for 24 hours later in the year.
</div>
<div>On top of this myself and other close friends will be doing some additional events such as Tough Mudder, walking up 3 highest peaks in the UK in one go.
</div>
