Supporting the Townsend Children

On October 31, 2020 SSG Parks Townsend lost the battle with his inner demons and took his own life. Many of us who served with him attended the funeral. We shared memories and we laughed more than you probably ever would at a funeral--unless it was a funeral for an Infantryman with a habit of getting naked in front of his buddies on the regular. But then, that's most Infantrymen.

We also shared in the heartache knowing he left two boys and a young daughter behind.

Now, the boys' mother is gone too. She was killed this week in a tragic UTV accident. In a mere few months these boys have lost both their parents.

This GoFundMe will serve to support the family with funeral expenses, and to set the boys up for whatever they may need in the near term, and possibly in the future.

Our plan is to turn over part of the money now to the family and to place $10,000 each in an account the kids will have access to when they turn 18.
