<div>On August 6th, 2025, our brother-in-law Ian was involved in a traumatic accident caused by a catastrophic mechanical failure on his vehicle. He was airlifted to the nearest trauma center with serious injuries. By the grace of God — and thanks to his quick thinking — Ian is still with us today.

<div>However, his injuries are extensive and serious. Ian sustained:
</div>
<div>•	A broken clavicle
</div>
<div>•	14 fractured ribs
</div>
<div>•	An open femur fracture
</div>
<div>•	A pelvic fracture
</div>
<div>• And a pneumothorax
</div>

</div>
<div>Ian now faces a long and painful road to recovery. As the owner of a newer small business, Ian does intense manual labor at his solar company and will be unable to work for at least the next 6 months — possibly longer. Additionally he is not eligible for any kind of disability benefits, unemployment, or family leave.

</div>
<div>His wife Dana, my sister, is pregnant and due to deliver their baby girl via C-section in just a few short weeks. She is currently on maternity leave from her job as a nurse and also unable to work. Together, they are raising two young boys, with a third child soon to join the family.

</div>
<div>What should be a joyful, exciting time — welcoming their baby girl into the world — has become a season filled with physical pain, emotional stress, and looming financial strain.
</div>

<div>When Dana returns home from the hospital, she will be recovering from a major surgery while also needing to care for a newborn, two young sons, and her husband — who will be largely immobile and in need of full-time assistance.

<div>Even with the strongest support system, the hurdles ahead are immense.
