We have started this GoFundMe page to benefit the family of Cristobal Paute - a hard-working husband and father of three small children - a 6th grader, 4th grader, and 1st grader in TUFSD schools. Cristobal is a good man and a valued member of our community.
On February 23 at 6AM, ICE agents took Cristobal away from his family and he remains in custody and at grave risk of deportation. As he was the primary breadwinner, his family needs our help to cover basic expenses and necessity - rent, food, clothing, etc.
Please donate what you can to help this family through this difficult time period in their lives. Thank you for whatever you can contribute.
Edited to add per GoFundMe’s request: My daughter is the classmate of Cristobal Paute’s 1st grade child, Cynthia. I am a stay at home mom and a class parent for Cynthia’s class. My family and I live in the same community as Cristobal Paute’s Family in Sleepy Hollow, NY. We are raising these funds to assist Cristobal’s Family with their rent and other living expenses while he remains in immigration detention, as he was the family’s primary wage earner. As GoFundMe’s payment processor will not allow Maria to withdraw the funds herself, my husband Dan and I will be withdrawing the funds personally and giving them to Cristobal’s Family in cash on a regular basis. Thank you

El 23 de febrero a las 6 AM, agentes de ICE se llevaron a Cristobal lejos de su familia y él permanece bajo custodia y en grave riesgo de deportación. Como él era el principal sostén de la familia, su familia necesita nuestra ayuda para cubrir los gastos básicos y la necesidad: alquiler, comida, ropa, etc.
