<div>On July 11th, while Joe and Vera were visiting Washington, a tragic accident occurred during a morning walk in Spokane, resulting in both of them being struck by a vehicle at a pedestrian crosswalk. Joe, a beloved husband, father, and friend to many, tragically lost his life that day. Vera remains in the intensive care unit, fighting for her own life with courage and strength that inspire us all.
