Supporting Tay Bug!

Donation protected
On June 23rd Mike and Christina received the news every parent dreads. After their daughter Taylin suffered from a debilitating migraine for a week and a half they were desperate for answers. They had tried everything to no avail. Finally they were able to get a scan on Tay, the ressults were crippling and a parents worst nightmare. They found a mass in Taylins brain! The doctor's recommended that they get to Seattle as soon as possible, and that's exactly what they  did! Seattle Children's Neurology Department jumped on the case and formed a team and a plan for Tay's care! Wasting no time!  Anyone who knows Taylin knows she has the purest of hearts and loves life. She is nothing shy of a beautiful soul and brings light to any room with her sweet personality. Taylin will be in surgery on Wednesday and she needs our support!

A little background on the Lohrs...

I wanted to add a little bit about this family and where they are in life. At the end of 2016 Mike, Christina, Taylin and Brynlee moved back to the Wentchee valley after Mike had finished law school at the University of Idaho College of  Law. While Mike was in school Christina took care of the house and kids an also started a small buisness doing beautiful crochet work to help isupport her family. Mike worked hard in school to provide a stable future for his wife and kids.

Once they settled back in Wenatchee, after a long search for a place to live, they began to rebuild. Mike landed an amazing internship with Lacy Kane. The internship quikly turned into a paid position so that while he gained the skills and knowledge of a powerful lawyer he was also able to support his family. He has been given a great opportunity and he is taking full advantage. Mike is scheduled to sit for the bar exam in July, only bettering the lives of his wife and kids, as well as his own.

Christina has been the glue that holds the family together. Caring for the kids and their home while working part time to contribute to their famiy. Together Mike and Christina have sacraficed many thing in order to raise their children in an environment suitable for thier two girls.

Taylin's headaches started when she was only 4 years old, she is now 9. On the onset of the headaches they searched for answers in every realm possible. They tried gluten free diets, lacatose free, cutting out dyes and changes in the environment to free Taylin of pain. She got prescribed glasses, as they thought maybe that was the problem. Even with all the attempts, nothing seemed to be resolving the issues. Up until a couple weeks ago they had no answers.

Lets show our support!

I created this page for a couple of reason's. First, to raise awareness and gain support and love to lift up Taylin as she goes in for surgery, but also to help support her immediate family and parents as well. This was all of a sudden and there wasn't much time to prepare. Mike and Christina need our love and support during this trying time. Prayer is much needed, and I know everyone who knows this family is already sending a multitude of prayers already. Secondly, this is also hard finanially. Their priority is making sure they bring their baby home, and healthy!

Anything you can help with is appreciated. Missing work and having to travel back and forth to Seattle costs and adds up quickly and anything helps. Lets pull together to alleviate this stress from them so they can focus on Taylin and her recovery!

The power of prayer

Lord, hear our prayers and be with Taylin and her family as she begins her journey back to full health. We thank you for the blessing you have given and will continue to give. We serve a might God and our faith is in you!
