Supporting Steel Through the Tragic Loss of Parent

I am the aunt of Steel Horn who has tragically lost both his parents at the age of 19 and is an only child. His father, Mike Horn, passed away less than 2 weeks ago, and his mother passed away 2 1/2 years ago at 16. He lost his Paw Paw 6 days after his mother and grandmother 2 years before that. Sadly, something no child should have to face.
After Steel endured the loss of his mother, Covid hit and they had to move several times. His schooling suffered and he was unable to complete the credits needed for graduation. Now after the passing of his father on April 7, 2021, Steel has the opportunity to honor his Dad and will be completing the course needed to receive a regular diploma from McGill-Toolen Catholic School.
Steel will be living with Mike and Jan's dear friends and their children- that have felt lead to open their home to Steel for as long as he wants to be there. I am so very proud to be his aunt and will make sure he is supported in every decision he makes going forward. He has great ambitions and is so very smart. I am encouraged to watch him grow and thrive. Steel is excited and getting involved with his new church family.
We know the plans God has for Steel will be beautiful. God is a good God and will bring good out of the tragic loss of his family. Jeremiah 29:11
