Supporting Soup and the Wood Family

Donation protected
On Thursday April 4th, after some weeks of abdominal discomfort, Marcelle went into the local clinic to see if there was something really wrong with his guts. After some tests, the clinic referred Marcelle to a wonderful local surgeon who performed exploratory surgery Thursday the 11th and found cancer cells on his pancreas as well as on his liver.  Pathology reports confirmed that the cells were consistent with one another and that Marcelle has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

We know that there is a great deal of support out there for Marcelle and his family.  He is young and healthy, and ready to fight this beast with every tool available. They are very fortunate to have people in their lives who are connected to some prominent cancer research facilities and we feel like they won't miss any alternative opportunities for treatment.

In order to help support the Wood Family through this time, we are creating a trust that they can use for expenses that come up along the road.  Jessi and Soup have already missed work for doctors appointments and treatments as well as recovery time from chemo; we know there will be many expenses in their future related to Marcelle's diagnosis and want to help alleviate the monetary burden as much as possible.

Marcelle and Jessi feel the energy and love that you are all sending their way and appreciate your support more than can be expressed and are reflecting that energy back unto the universe.  They are doing their best to keep us all informed along the way using this caringbridge website: www.caringbridge.org/visit/marcellewood.
