Supporting Ryan's Fight

Please allow me to introduce you to Ryan Winther. Ryan is a young small business owner in rural Minnesota. He is the husband of his high-school sweetheart, Jill, and the proud father of 3 year old Leah. Ryan and Jill are also excitedly awaiting the arrival of their son in September! Together, as a family, they have endured the many challenges that life brings. Recently however, they have undertaken their greatest fight; cancer.

Ryan was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. After several scans and appointments with numerous doctors, they have decided on an agressive plan for chemotherapy. He will undergo 4 rounds of chemo initially before having another scan to determine the plan for additional chemo and/or radiation in an effort to shrink the tumor before allowing him to recover and consider surgery to remove the tumor. The exact plan for and timing of surgery will all be dependent on how effective the chemo is. Following resection of the tumor, he will likely undergo additional chemo/radiation, although again, the exact length and plan for this is unknown at this time.   

While previous financial commitments will continue to need to be met, new treatment costs will escalate and travel costs for doctors' appointments will build. All the while his income is lost while he focuses on his treatment. While we as family and friends, have no doubt Ryan is going to beat this, we also know Ryan and Jill and their family have a long road ahead. It is with a very humble heart that we ask that you make a financial contribution to this fight to help ease the financial burden during these tremendously tough times.
