Supporting Relief after Cyclone Idai in Mozambique

Donation protected
The people of Beira, Mozambique, need clean water and food. In some remote areas, which aren't easily accessible to provide aid relief residents are being forced to fight each other for something to drink and eat. Indeed when Cyclone Idai hit the shores of Mozambique, it destroyed everything in its wake. Beira, which is one of Mozambique's largest cities, received the lion's share of the devastation. Cast iron billboards advertising multi-national brands such as Coca-Cola were bent and laid strewn on the port city's pavements. Trees were toppled, and homes flattened.

This initiative is looking to realize a resource that can be immediately routed through the Mott MacDonald Project Office .

To date (2nd June 2019) EURO 2,717.44  has been raised and this will be matched by the Mott MacDonald Group meaning that the target will then have been exceeded. Many thanks to you all again. There are some complications in attempting to make a withdrawal and route it directly to the Mott MacDonald Project Office in Maputo. I am scheduled to visit the office the week beginning 9th June and the easiest way to route the donations will be for me to withdraw the donations into  my own personal bank account and deliver the same to the Project Office directly. During the week I will discuss with the Project Staff how best to utilize the resource and then come back through this page to provide all who have made a donation as to how the resource will be used. Further updates will then be provided once the resource is actually being used.
