<div>As many of you already know, our beloved Pierre Auguste is in the fight for his life and we need your help.

<div>On August 7, Pierre was diagnosed with metastases' pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, this is a very aggressive and dangerous form of cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The malignancy has spread and threatens Pierre's liver and his life. It is a stage 4 illness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pierre is courageously undergoing intense, urgent care at Mass General Hospital, including chemotherapy, various trials and trial drugs in the hopes of halting and — hopefully— reducing the tumors that now threaten his life. Pierre is fighting very hard and is determined to extend his life for the sake of his family— including his wife Ruth and their wonderful 12-year-old son, Evan.

<div>We must be up-front in saying that this is a daunting and uphill battle, but one that Pierre believes can be aided by a full-court press from as many friends, colleagues, family-members and acquaintances as we can possibly muster.

<div>Pierre and his family urgently need our financial support to help underwrite his care and well-being at this very challenging time. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to support his mounting medical bills, as insurance does not cover all of the very expensive procedures. They will also support his family's day-to-day needs as Pierre puts his full energy and spirit into the fight. A portion of this fund will be allocated to a 529b plan for Evan’s educational needs.

<div>I'm sure we can all agree that Pierre is one of the kindest, most special individuals to touch our lives, family, friends, colleagues and relatives alike. This has been a devastating and entirely unexpected blow to him and his loved ones.
