<div>In August 2025, we lost Robert Rumore, a much loved Father, partner, brother, friend and son. To brain cancer. He fought so bravely for 21 months — with courage, love, and a smile, right until the end.
</div>
<div>During that time, the Peace of Mind Foundation was there for us. They guided our family through the fear and confusion, connected us with services that could help. 
</div>
<div>Peace of Mind is Australia’s leading brain cancer support charity — but they receive no government funding. Every bit of help they give to families like ours comes purely from donations.
</div>
<div>Each year, around 2,000 Australians are diagnosed with brain cancer. Survival rates haven’t improved in over 30 years, and 80% of those diagnosed won’t live beyond five years.
</div>

<div>Our family is raising funds in his memory — to honour his fight and help others. Funds will be split between:
</div>
<div>1. The Peace of Mind Foundation, to continue supporting families living with brain cancer.
</div>
<div>2. The purchase and donation of a Sara Steady mobility aid  (approx $3,300) to Rockingham Hospital, in Rob’s name.
</div>
<div>When Rob lost his mobility, the Sara Steady
</div>
<div>Became the only safe way for him to transfer. 
</div>
<div>Through his many hospital stays, he realised Rockingham Hospital didn’t have enough of these devices and asked us to donate one in his memory, after he passed. 
</div>
<div>This wish also continues a family tradition — Robs father, Joe Rumore- arranged for hospital equipment to be donated in his name after he passed, and Rob wanted to carry this tradition on. 
</div>

<div>This November, our family will honour Rob’s memory through Paddling for Peace of Mind and for Rockingham hospitals donation. 
</div>
<div>— I’ll be kayaking 300 kilometres (10 kilometres a day for 30 days) along Rockingham Foreshore to raise awareness and funds.
</div>
