Supporting Oretha Hendricks

In efforts to support my family in St. Marteen, I have created this fundraiser. My cousin Oretha Hendricks recently lost her roof and more importantly her son ‘Bambi’. With the limited information I have found, the story is as follows. During Hurricane Irma, Bambi protected his mother by jumping in front of her as a glass table top was heading towards her.  The table cut him in his inner thighs which lead to Bambi bleeding to death.

To pay respects to my Hendricks name I want to help in supporting my cousin. With the support of other family members we begin raising funds. Due to the current state of things it is likely that the funds will not make it for a few months. But they will indeed make it. Erik Hendricks will ensure that the money gets to Oretha Hendricks, hold me accountable if you feel you need to.

The plan is to raise as much as possible to send to Oretha once I can confirm that it will get to her. I have other family members on the island of St. Maarten that I will be communicating with to ensure that I have all needed information before sending anything.

I was fortunate to meet Oretha and her family that attended the reunion we recently had in July 2017, so it was difficult news for me to hear. Please help with any donations that you possibly can. We will be raising funds till the end of the calendar year.
