Supporting Nika's Next Steps

Hey all -

As some of you may know, Nika is a currently homeless trans women, and member of our western ma queer community. This fundraiser is dedicated to getting her enough $$ to help her next steps and to gain more stability!

A little about Nika! : Nika is a visual artist/painter, hair dresser, with a nearly complete cosmetology degree, and a love for music, fashion, and Aaliyah.  She has lived around New England (Albany, Pittsfield, Goshen) as well as NYC and is now considering staying in Western MA or moving onto Boston.  She was most recently staying at Afiya, but had to leave after 7 days, and is trying to figure out a safe, stable place to stay while she figures out next steps.

Any money you donate will go towards such things as:

- Transportation
- Rent
- Food
- Bureaucracy and paperwork for state IDs, etc
- Healthcare
- Comfortable and affirming clothing, hair items, etc 

The donations from queer exchange have been amazing so far, but now let's please get this beyond our one facebook page and out into the broader community! If we had even 6 people who could give $600....or 100 who could give $36, we could make a huge different for Nika!!! <3 

Nika asked me to write this main message, but also wanted to share this note from herself as well:

Hey guys thanks so much for everything u have done as already had done so much ive been homeless for about a few weeks so i know everyone is struggling as well with that being said plz look into your hearts and digg into your pockets plz give whatever u can give remember any lil bit helps.. So plz do... 70or5040or30hell25or20 whether its 10.00 or5.00 everything helps! So feel free to donate!thanks so much again everybody im sooo grateful for u helping me i everybody ! Thank u to queer exchange for all your help shoutout to everyone who donated thank u sooo much! Fb friends n fam u if u could help thatll be great too as well! Trust me i need all the help i can possibly get!!
