Hi everyone, my name is Kaitlan, and I’m reaching out to share my journey as I navigate the challenge of continuing my college education while learning to live with my recent diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS is a condition that affects my autonomic nervous system, causing symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, rapid heart rate, nausea, vomiting, and fainting. At times, it can make even getting out of bed feel impossible without risking passing out.

As I prepare for this new chapter, I’m encountering unique challenges in managing my health, including the need for medical equipment, treatments/medications, and additional support to help me thrive academically and socially.
