Supporting ICC Members During Covid19 Pandemic

Tax deductible
Welcome to the Inter-Cooperative Council (ICC), a vibrant community  in Ann Arbor, Michigan where 550 members living across 16 beautiful homes work together to provide affordable, equitable, and democratically-run housing. While most of our members are students at local colleges and universities, we are also home to anyone seeking affordability, community and sustainability in the S.E. Michigan area.

Like many of you across the world, members of the ICC have felt the hardships of the Covid19 Pandemic which continues to be a disruption to all. Many of our members are working students who rely primarily on themselves for financial support, and the consequences of a covid19 infection is hard on those who have to take time off work, seek alternate housing, or even lose their jobs as a result.

Today, we are asking for support from our community partners, co-op connections, and anyone else in the world with whom our values resonate: please consider a donation that will go directly to members who are struggling due to the effects of the pandemic. Donations will be distributed directly to member accounts in the form of scholarships that will reduce their cost of living. For many members, this means not paying charges (room, board, and utilities) for a few months, or paying a greatly reduced amount for a period of time.

The average ICC monthly charge rate is $750. This includes food & supplies, a number of prepared meals per week, a fully furnished room, utilities, and miscellaneous amenities that vary by house. Any amount you can give makes a difference to someone in our community, but we ask that you consider a donation of at least $50 to help offset these costs for members. As omicron is ramping up, we find ourselves with more infections every day.
