Supporting Los Angeles Dept of Animal Services
I'm Shammy Dee and I've been using the ability to livestream DJ sets as a way to help bring people together to support people and organizations that are working hard to provide help for people and animals during the pandemic.
For today's fundraiser, I'm supporting Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) in their continued work of helping literally all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to hamsters, bunnies and horses! 
The staff at LAAS is working hard, even during this time, to provide the proper care and support for all the animals shelter-wide.
The work that LAAS does is extensive. In 2019, over 56,000 animals received care among their six locations across the city, over 21,000 animal were adopted, and over 5,700 lost pets were reunited with their owners! 
Los Angeles Animal Services is one of the largest municipal shelter systems in the United States with six services centers serving approximately 60,000 animals annually and responding to 20,000 emergency calls involving an animal or person in danger. LA Animal Services promotes and protects the health, safety, and welfare of animals and people.
The average contribution is $25. You'll be directly supporting the animals by providing funding that keeps them safe and fed.
Everything donated through this fundraiser goes directly to LAAS.
