Those of you who know Ms. Linda know she is central to the ministry of Little Lights, and has been for the past 16 years — always present, always encouraging, always wise, and loved by so many.
Ms. Linda has been diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, a rare, aggressive, and fast-moving cancer that has already spread to her lymph nodes and possibly to other organs. She has a great team of doctors working on a treatment plan, but because this is a rare type of cancer, treatment is a bit uncertain right now. It might include a double mastectomy, radiation, and chemotherapy.
To fight this cancer with all she has, Ms. Linda is taking a leave of absence from Little Lights. She will receive short-term disability benefits that will cover a good chunk of her salary, but we want to help make up the difference, so Ms. Linda and Mr. Thomas can put all their energy into fighting for health, without the strain of financial worry.
On top of Ms. Linda's health, Mr. Thomas is facing his own struggles and has to regularly undergo dialysis. They have a lot on their plate right now, and appreciate prayers for energy, strength, perseverance, and, most of all, miraculous healing.
