<div>It is with a truly heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dearly loved friend and teammate, Karl Burns, at the age of just 56. Karl passed away peacefully on 5 June 2026 in the presence of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kylie, their two adult daughters and teenage son.

<div>Karl will be remembered as a remarkable man; a lionheart on and off the pitch; as fierce a friend as he was a teammate and opponent. Playing or socialising, he led by example with an easy charm and pied-piper appeal, inspiring others with an infectious energy, good humour, and an unfailing generosity of spirit. Indeed, Karl poured his heart into all that he loved: his family, his friends, his teammates and community. His loss will be felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
