<div>My husband, Jonathan, has lived in the United States since he was a young child. For many years, he was a DACA recipient and did his best to do everything the right way, working hard, following the law, and showing up to every immigration appointment required of him. We believed that by walking honestly and trusting the process, things would be okay.

<div>In November, Jonathan attended his scheduled ICE check-in, just as he had done before. Without warning, he was taken into custody that day. In an instant, what we thought would be a routine appointment became a season of separation, uncertainty, and prayer.
</div>

<div>We were married in 2024 and were just beginning our life together, full of hope and plans for the future. Everything that followed happened quickly and felt like a whirlwind. Each day has brought new information, new decisions, and new expenses, and it has been difficult to keep up with everything while trying to stay strong.

<div>Asking for help does not come easily to me, and I truly hate to feel like a burden to anyone. But I have reached a point where I don’t see a way through this financially on my own. I am doing everything I can, yet the weight of it all has become overwhelming.

<div>Mi esposo, Jonathan, ha vivido en los Estados Unidos desde que era un niño. Cada día ha traído nueva información, nuevas decisiones y nuevos gastos, y ha sido difícil manejarlo todo mientras tratamos de mantenernos fuertes.

<div>Pedir ayuda no me resulta fácil, y sinceramente me duele sentir que podría ser una carga para alguien. Pero he llegado a un punto en el que no veo una manera de salir adelante financieramente por mi cuenta. Estoy haciendo todo lo que puedo, pero el peso de todo esto se ha vuelto abrumador.
