<div>Gavin Yates-Lyons was an 18-year-old who finished high school early at Lowndes County High School, where he excelled as a football player and was known for his respectful nature, kind heart, and deep love for his family and friends. Gavin began attending college at Ball State University in January 2026 and proudly celebrated his high school graduation on May 22, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

<div>Tragically, the morning after his graduation, Gavin was caught in the crossfire of a shooting and suffered critical injuries. Despite the efforts of medical professionals and the countless prayers offered on his behalf, Gavin unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
