To family,  friends and our local community,

We're not sure where to start.. We're all experiencing hardships, difficulties and stress because of the unknown.  Both myself and James have lost our day jobs for now & as confusing this all is, I refuse to maintain the mindset that this will consume me.

For those of you that don't know me, i'm a self taught baker that runs my own business that will also be heading into the unknown moving forward. More of you in the beer community might know James Balboni a little better as a superstar beer rep and someone I’m lucky to call a friend.

We both have a lot of good friends that work in hospitality, that run their own businesses are also boss men and women in their fields whether it be within restaurants, small business owners, beer and cocktail slingers, and a multitude of casual jobs within the beer industry that will result in a loss of jobs as they can’t work from home.

We're here because we want to support friends and other beloved hospitality staff that are doing it much tougher than we will & would love to lift their spirits in any way possible. We're trying to raise as much money as we can to buy fresh vegetables, pasta, rice,  meat (if budgets permit) and make up packs available for pick up at a yet to be determined location in metro Melbourne. We’d love to help them out for the week if its one less thing for them to worry about.

If I can get flour, and if people want isolation cakes, i will use my time to bake as much boozy treats to make them smile if it helps.  I do have lots of veggies and fruit & a lot of free beer that generous brewers have kindly given me over the months and happy to part with them if they need a good beer.

We are mindful that *everyone* would be struggling, that hospos and retail staff are not in some way supposed to take precedence over others or your family / personal needs, but whatever you can afford to would be helpful.

We don't take asking for donations very lightly, but I do honestly believe that showing love to people in need is really important. When things are tough, its really important to show others that they're cared for  and i think that *will* get us through this as a community. Unemployment, rent, and not eating properly will just overload the mental health issues that are already in play and the last thing i'd want is for it to manifest physically if they're not eating right in the midst of being distracted.

We do apologise in advance to everyone for spam, but we want to spend my down time trying to help others.  If you can't afford to help with donations of any kind, that’s ok, spreading the word to others that can spare some loose change, it would really mean the world to us.  We do want to organise this sooner rather than later before we all get locked down.

Thank you so much for your time and we sincerely hope you can get behind me so I can share the love.

- Deb.L & James. B
