<div>Hello! My name is Julie and I am creating this page for my dear friend and loved employee, Emily Droege. She has been apart of our team at Late Night Hair for years and we all love her deeply.

<div>Unfortunately, this past Saturday, February 17th, on her way home from the salon around 3:30 in the afternoon, Emily was struck by a drunk driver at an excessively high speed. The impact was all on her drivers side. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a broken femur, shattered pelvis, internal bleeding, and severe internal organ lacerations.
</div>
<div>Once her trauma team felt she was stable, she underwent a 10 hour surgery on Tuesday, February 20th, to repair these extensive injuries. A rod was placed in her femur and multiple screws into her pelvis. She is still in the hospital and slowly working towards recovery. However, this will be a very long healing process for her to navigate.
</div>
<div>Emily had just gotten back to work full time after having 3 separate back to back hip surgeries (Sep. 2022, Mar. 2023, Jan. 2024) to fix a previous hip injury. She spent a year and a half recovering and getting stronger from those procedures. She was so excited to finally get back into her career full time doing what she loves most - hair. She also was able to recently purchase her first home as she was excited to finally have all of these medical problems behind her.
</div>
<div>This accident is beyond heartbreaking and totally unfair. She will need months of physical therapy and essentially will have to relearn to walk again. Being a hairstylist, she will be out of work for quite some time as she will not be able to stand/walk for long periods. I am kindly asking for donations to help cover any daily life expenses for Emily as she will be out of work. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
