Supporting Corey Haile

Corey was admitted to the hospital on February 7, 2018.  Through various tests, Corey has been told he is in advanced Kidney failure, heart is heavily strained and not working properly, possible blood clot in his lung, pneumonia with his white blood cell count being near the levels of being spetic.  They are inserting an IV in the juglar vein to begin dialysis.  Corey will have to be on dialysis for at least 6 months to see how his body is responding to the treatment before getting on the kidney transplant list.  At some point, Corey will need to have a transplant for both kidneys.  

Corey has undergone an EKG, chest xray, chest ultrasound, kidney ultrasound, lung scan, heart monitor, starting a throat catheter for dialisys, and blood thinners in case of blood clots.  At the time of writing this, they are unable to complete the tests to determine what is specifically wrong with his heart due to the dye negatively impacting his kidneys.  

When Corey was a teenageer, he was diagnosed with  henochschnlein purpura.  Corey did have an enlarged heart and issues with his kidneys as a teenager because of this.  Doctors are unable to state if the health issues now are related to henochschnlein purpura.   There is a link below if you would like to read more about henochschnlein purpura.

Corey will be receiving more tests to help begin a treatment plan for his healing.  I will update you as we find more information out.  

Having to go through this has and is placing a hardship on his family.  Corey will have an abundance of medical bills as well as financial strain.  I am hoping that his family and friends are able to help there family out during this hard time.
