Carol, Mama C, Mrs. Chiero or as she would say Cheerio, whatever you know her as, you know her as a women who is ALWAYS smiling. A women who through it all is strong and positive. A women who knows just about everyone and who everybody loves.
As many of you know, in 2012 Carol was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer. She underwent over a year of chemo, had a major surgery, and went through months of radiation. It wasn’t an easy fight, but we all knew Carol was a fighter and would kick cancers butt, and in the spring of 2013 she did! Carol was in remission.
Then in November 2016, Carol found a rash on her left breast, she called her breast specialist right away and he had her come in. Our worst nightmare had happened; after almost a 4 year remission her cancer was back. And this time her breast cancer had mastisized to her skin. She started chemo on December 23rd 2016, and since then it has been an extremely, extremely hard year. You may have noticed that Carol lost her hair, then her hair grew back, and just recently she lost it again. That’s because the cancer is not cooperating and the doctors keep having to change the course of treatment. Carol is now trying the 4th new treatment this year. On top of Carol having major side effects from chemo which have put her in and out of the hospital, her cancer has started to ulcerate which is extremely painful. You probably wouldn’t know it if you have seen Carol because she is so strong and positive, but she is constantly in pain.
Carol and Ron are beginning to feel the financial struggle of the constant copays they are faced with along with the bills beginning to pile up since Carol can no longer work. This is why we are asking for your help. Carol needs to focus on her health and her fight and it would make it easier for her to do that if we could raise some money to help out with the bills.
So please continue praying that Carol can kick cancers butt once again, and if you can make a donation to help her out we would be forever grateful.
