On August 10th, 2025, Sierra and Anthony welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Roman Allen Shane, into the world. Weighing just 5 lbs 10 oz, Roman arrived with all the hope and love a new life brings. However, shortly after birth, Roman began experiencing trouble breathing and was admitted to the NICU, where he was treated for pneumonia.
After 18 long days, Roman was strong enough to go home, and his parents were finally able to enjoy the precious moments they had longed for. But just five days later, their world was turned upside down once again when Roman showed signs of respiratory distress and was rushed back to the hospital, where he has remained since September 4th.
This has been an incredibly emotional and uncertain time for Sierra and Anthony. While they are receiving caregiver benefits, both have had to take a significant cut in income. Their days are now spent by Roman’s side, awaiting testing and answers, doing everything they can to stay strong for their baby boy. Their only means of transportation to and from the hospital is via Uber or occasional rides from family.
As they navigate this difficult journey, we want them to know that they are not alone. They have a village — and that village includes all of us.
I’m organizing this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burdens they’re facing — particularly for travel costs, meals, and basic daily needs while they remain at the hospital with Roman. Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting them during this critical time.
No donation is too small. If you’re unable to give, simply sharing this fundraiser or sending love and prayers their way means the world.
Let’s show Sierra, Anthony, and baby Roman that they are surrounded by love, hope, and support. Together, we can help lighten the load and give them one less thing to worry about.
With heartfelt thanks,
Sierras mom, Romans Tohtoh
