Atira.

As many of you may know, it has been a pretty interesting year for us Jordan girls.  With Mom and Dad moving to Russia last year, we've all had a bit more responsibility under our belts to handle.  It has been a challenge to say the least. Who:   Although this year has been hard on all of us, we are starting this campaign specifically for Atira.  About Her: Atira is currently a senior at Wheaton College and is studying Elementary Education, with a concentration in ESL (English as a Second Language). Her desire is to become an elementary teacher overseas, working in Christian schools to nurture and teach young children.  Atira is an extremely hard worker and has worked her way through college in order to pay for her tuiton. The money from her jobs would normally cover her tuiton costs, but this year her school required her to undertake student teaching, which was unpaid. The student teaching hours were long and stressful, resulting in her being unable to work enough at her job. Goals for this Fund: Atira was recently accepted to a Christian program called Passages that sends Christian College students to Israel during their spring break. Their goal is for students to explore the "roots of their Biblical faith" and the "complex landscape of Modern Israel" in order to raise up Christian leaders who have an informed understanding of the nation's story as it relates to their Christian faith. From childhood, Atira has been deeply interested in the history of Israel and its people. She is very excited to take this opportunity to see and experience the biblical and historical sites that are foundational to our faith.   She hopes to further her faith through a deeper understanding of the context of ancient Israel, and glean a more informed perspective on the complex issues faced in the present day nation. https://passagesisrael.org/  Deadline:   Serena and I are both very happy that she was accepted into this program and we know that without these funds it would be impossible for her to go.  We are asking from the bottom of our hearts to help support her in her final trip as a senior at Wheaton College.   Unfortunately, we are late to posting this as we were trying to find other options. Her deadline is January 5th which is very short notice, so we apologize. We extended the budget to help with other major expenses she is facing such as rent and tuiton for this month. Your time and prayers are greatly appreciated.  We will continue to update with more information as necessary.
