<div>At just 25 years old, Alex was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. While it wasn’t news anyone her age expects to hear, she has approached each step of treatment with strength and determination.

<div>Because some of her treatments can affect fertility, she began her journey with egg harvesting to preserve her ability to have children in the future. She’s since had a port placed, completed multiple rounds of chemotherapy (with her final round coming soon!!), and will be continuing targeted therapy infusions every 3 weeks for a full year.

<div>In the months ahead, Alex will undergo a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery, followed by 5 weeks of daily radiation. Eventually, she will also have her ovaries removed and begin lifelong estrogen suppression — meaning IVF will be her path to growing a family one day.

<div>These medical steps come with significant costs, from fertility preservation to surgeries and ongoing treatment. This fundraiser will help ease the financial strain so she can focus on healing and planning for the future.

<div>In addition to her own recovery, Alex hopes to use her experience to raise awareness and support others facing their own cancer journey.
