Supporting a Palestinian refugee family in Jordan

My husband is currently in Amman, Jordan and has a Palestinian taxi driver named Majid.

My husband has come to know Majid and his struggles and it is quite upsetting.

Majid is a Palestinian refugee living in Amman, Jordan and drives a taxi for his work.  He is married with two young daughters.

Due to COVID19, Jordan imposed a strict lockdown with no movement for a month and then another month or slightly looser lockdown but this has taken a huge toll on many Jordanians and Palestinians living in Jordan.  Due to this strict lockdown and not being able to drive his taxi, he is delayed paying his rent by 2 months. The taxi company expected him to pay them $40 CAD a day (regardless if it’s being used for work) to rent, and he keeps the excess money. His house landlord is harassing him daily to which my husband has witnessed personally while taking a ride with Majid somewhere.

Today he got his electricity cut by his landlord trying to get him out of his apartment.

We would like to raise money for Majed and his family so they can stay in their apartment.

We will be forwarding the money directlyto his bank account (my husband sees him on a daily basis and my husband can attest to his character so we both feel it is alegitimate cause).

thank you.
