Hersh's Rising Medical Bills

My name is Tonya Enoch and I am the cousin of Herschel McAdoo.  My cousin is experiencing a medical emergency that seems to never end.  I am writing this story on his behalf since he is back and forth from medical facilities.  Herschel is a really a sweet guy.  He is funny, compassionate, giving and an all around great person.  Life has not always been easy for him as he was born with a  medical condition that altered his life and created many challenges for him.  He is considered a walking miracle.  Through all his challenges he still smiles and laughs and continues to be grateful for life.

That is why Hersh's current medical condition has taken him and our family by surprise.  With all that, Hersh has already been through we are saddened and concerned by his current medical status.   Since December 6, 2016, Hersh has had several surgeries on his foot to try to save it.  Since his birthday, Oct. 10th, he was misdiagnosed twice before the doctors realized that he had a major blood clot that needed to be treated immediately. This delayed a much-needed surgery to get the blood circulating in his foot. The delay eventually led to a toe amputation.  This amputation led to the Morganella Infection that is extremely difficult to treat, which caused more toes to being amputated and a 5-hour vein transplant to help with blood flow.  Currently, the doctors are using a wound vac to rid Hersh of this horrific infection so they can eventually perform more surgeries.  The goal is to save as much of his foot as possible and to eliminate any further damage caused by the infection.

At the moment, my cousin is trying to keep a smile on his face and be upbeat. However,  we see the worry and we are all concerned about the future surgeries and how this condition will affect his ability to walk.    
With all the lengthy stays in the hospital and the rehabilitation center, a host of surgeries, and expensive medications my cousin is in great need of help with these rising medical costs that continue to mount up. 

Hersh is not out of the woods yet,  he is currently in rehab undergoing treatment for the Morganella infection, so we ask that you keep him in prayers.  Your positive thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated.  We would like to thank you in advance for any generosity you can contribute to Hersh's medical bills.  No donation is too small.  We will send updates on Hersh's recovery.
