My dear friends and family, I am so thrilled to share this upcoming journey with you. I have an amazing opportunity to get trained as a missionary! I will be heading to Pemba, Mozambique (Africa) for 3 months for training from October to December of this year, 2015! After, I'm hoping to serve on missions for another 6 months or so! The organization I will be going through is called Iris Global. It is a missions organization founded by Heidi and Rolland Baker. They are both long term missionaries in Africa and passionate lovers of Jesus.

- Communal housing
- Basic African cuisine of three meals daily (mostly bread, rice, beans, or fish)

There are many reasons why I have decided to go on missions having graduated college! Firstly, God put this dream in me as a freshman in college. During one Sunday service, I felt God telling me to go to Africa. It was completely out of the blue! But, I kept the dream hidden in my heart knowing that the perfect time will come when He will launch me out! I believe that this is the moment!! I'm in a transition period between being done with undergrad and figuring out what the next step is in my career. I find this time so precious to surrender to God in order to serve Him in whatever way He wants me to! And God has been so faithful in giving me confirmation about going so I'm taking a leap of faith and obeying!!! Secondly, I desire to be used as His servant and be challenged to be His hands, feet, ears, and mouth in this nation He put on my heart when I was a freshman in college!! I JUST WANT TO GROW, FALL DEEPER IN LOVE, AND BE TRANSFORMED TO BE LIKE JESUS!!!
