Meet Binod!
He is a 12-year-old boy from the village of Kailali in western Nepal. Abandoned by his father, and left with his mentally disabled mother, Binod had little
chance of receiving a proper education or the means to live a healthy and safe childhood.
Phil and Rachel learned about Binod’s story from a local Kathmandu family. The shop owners approached them with a predicament: they were willing to take Binod in, but did not have the funds to support his education. Could they possibly help?
To launch this endeavor, Phil and Rachel have provided enough for uniforms, books, and the first few months’ tuition. However, allowing Binod to continue with his studies calls for some extra support. By donating, you can help put Binod through the next 8 years at Neelgiri School--a private, English-speaking institution--in Kathmandu.
Help to not only educate, but empower Binod. If there’s one positive thing we can invest in, it is a young mind. As Nelson Mandela once said, “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
