My Educational Opportunity

My name is Lillian Profit-Baker. I am from  Monroe, Louisiana. It's a small  town located in the northeastern part of Louisiana. There, I attended and graduated from Richwood High School in 2009. I went on to attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There, I majored in Animal Science and graduated in May of 2013. I am now a second year veterinary school student with an interest in mixed animal practice. Knowledge and education have brought me very far from my humble beginnings; however in all that I do I continue to be and always will remain humble. The purpose of my campaign is to raise money so that I may allow education to take me even further. I seek to participate in a training program known as World Vets. This program is located in Granada, Nicaragua. The program is a surgical and veterinary training program for students like me who seek to gain clinical as well as practical veterinary experience. In addition to surgical instruction, I  will participate in a multi-disciplinary veterinary program and cultural experiences that not only will enhance my education, but will also give me a broader understanding of international veterinary medicine. With your donations and with the help of God I know that finances will not be the reason I am unable to partake in such a wonderful opportunity.
