Ukraine is under attack; millions of people are fleeing the cities, many without anywhere to go. The UN are reporting a significant refugee crisis looming.
As we watch these events unfold from the comfort of our homes, the Ukrainians desperately need our help.
In 2017, Jayden Stevens and I were in Kyiv filming our micro-budget feature 'A Family'. We arrived, two Australians without any contacts and barely any resources. However, it wasn't long before we connected with some local cast and crew who embodied the independent filmmaking spirit and together, over ten weeks, we put together a feature film.
When Russia invaded, our Ukrainian 'family' had to leave Kyiv, some sleeping in makeshift shelters with hundreds of others and having limited access to food and safety. They are terrified of what the future may bring, and there is no imagination strong enough to feel what they are going through.
The least we can do is support them financially throughout these immensely difficult times.
So please, if you have seen our movie and enjoyed it (or hated it), consider a donation to this fund. I will post updates as they come.
