Mi chiamo Fabrizio e sono di Roma. Ho praticato Vipassana per 20 anni in Asia, in Australia e negli Stati Uniti. Dopo aver vissuto all'estero per 25 anni ho deciso di tornare a Roma per iniziare un centro di meditazione. Sono riuscito ad aprirlo a gennaio dell'anno scorso. Ashoka centro di consapevolezza al Pigneto Roma. Tutte le classi di Dharma nel nostro centro sono offerte con il principio buddista di Dana (generosità) per dare a tutti la possibilità di praticare donando ciò che possono . La generosita' e' centrale nell'insegnamento del Buddha. Cosi', donare diventa una pratica come la meditazione o l'etica. Si tratta di instaurare un rapporto di fiducia reciproca tra chi condivide la pratica e chi la riceve. Un atto di reciprocita' che dura da 2600 anni.
Ho usato i miei risparmi per rinnovare lo spazio e lo metto a disposizione di alcuni insegnanti di yoga che offrono lezioni a pagamento e donano metà del loro profitto al centro per aiutare a pagare l'affitto e le bollette. Poiché abbiamo appena iniziato abbiamo bisogno di aiuto per mantenere questo centro attivo, affitto, bollette di riscaldamento in inverno e aria condizionata in estate.
Il dono del Dharma non ha prezzo ed è un onore poterlo offrire, perché semplicemente cambia le vite.
Ogni donazione, anche piccola continua a sostenere il propagarsi del Dharma e a mantenere il centro che ci ospita.
Le donazioni serviranno a pagare l'affitto nei mesi estivi, quando Roma diventa deserta e non ci sono classi di yoga, ad installare l'aria condizionata e pompa di calore per il prossimo inverno ad offrire un piccolo stipendio all'insegnante per continuare a fare ritiri studiare e insegnare, creare borse di studio per lunghi ritiri di meditazione in silenzio .

My name is Fabrizio I am from Rome, Italy. I have been practicing Vipassana for twenty years in Asia Australia and the United States.
After living overseas for 25 years I decided to go back to Rome to start a Dharma center. I managed to open it in January last year.Ashoka - Centro di consapevolezza in the area of Pigneto in Rome
All Dharma classe at our center are offered with the Buddhist principle of Dana ( generosity) to give everyone, from every demographic and status the possibility to practise by simply donating what they can when they come to our classes. Above all because generosity is central to the teachings of the Buddha. Generosity is a practice just like sitting or ethics. It establishes a relationship of trust and reciprocity and trust between who teaches and who receives the teachings. An act, that has been going for 2600 years.
I used my own savings to renovate the space and I rent it to yoga teachers who offer classes and donate half of their profit to the center but so far, we need extra help.
Because we have only just started we need help to keep this center going, rent, bills heating in the winter and a/c in the summer. It would be great to be able to provide a stipend to the teacher, myself, who is planning on expanding classes to reach out to people who can not come to the center, drug rehabilitation centers, prisons, hospitals etc...
The gift of the Dharma is priceless and it is an honor to be able to offer it, because quite simply, it changes lives.
Every donation, even tiny, contributes to the spreading of the Dharma and supports the center that makes it possible.
Your donations will contribute to help pay ent during the summer months when Rome becomes deserted and there are no yoga classes that support it, install central heating and a/c a small stipend for the teacher and create scholarships for people who can not afford to pay for long silent retreats.
